The dough hook is intended to be used to knead doughs and to mix large batches of cookies, candies and pastry dough. Designed to replicat hand kneading. Also when adding hard items (nuts, chocolate chips, dried fruit, hard butter or shortening, hardened brown sugar, etc) to batters.  Best to used speed 1 and/or 2. The dough hook extender can be used for kneading batches from 1 to 14 loaves. It improve kneading in every batch.

The twin beating whisk (wire whips) is intended to used for very light substances (cream, egg whites, sauces, batters & light pastry dough that are thin enough to pour. It can also be used for mashing soft, cooked potatoes and shredding pressure-cooked meats. You can used with either the plastic or metal whip drive. Good to used speeds 1 to 4.

Other attachment for the bowl are Cookie Paddles and Cake Paddles. Both must be used with the metal whip drive. Cookie Paddles are designed for medium to thick batters, frosting or cookie doughs. The right speeds to use are 1 to 3. Cookie Paddle tips: ALWAYS used soft butter, for large batches of cookie dough switch to dough hook after creaming the butter & sugar. Cake Paddles are designed for thin to medium thick batters (cakes, frostings, muffins & non-yeast quick breads). The right speeds to be used are 1 to 3. Switch to dough hook when adding ingredients such as raisins, nuts, oatmeal, etc. or making extra large batches. ALWAYS used soft butter.
